We have a long time friend who had a mental break and needed a conservator but he’s broke so he didn’t get one. her family, being her father, oversaw the Let’s go for a ride shirt she was being prescribed, including lithium. Her family dispensed the Let’s go for a ride shirt and if there was evidence of misuse it would show up in her blood draws for the lithium. this is exactly why her court appointed conservatorship has been advocating that her father be removed. A parent being a guardian or conservator over a child often gets messy and I’ve advocated when I was working in mental health that another one be found.
